Transportation from the Airport

Participants arriving via Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) may conveniently reach Casablanca by train. A direct rail connection links the airport to the city, with regular departures throughout the day.

Travellers may disembark at either Casa Oasis or Casa Voyageurs train stations. For those whose accommodation is located in the city centre—particularly in hotels or Airbnbs downtown—it is recommended to alight at Casa Voyageurs Station, which offers the most direct access to central Casablanca.

The journey from the airport to Casa Voyageurs takes approximately 40 minutes, and the fare is around 60 MAD (≈ 6 EUR). Train tickets may be booked in advance through the official ONCF website at www.oncf-voyages.ma or via the “ONCF Voyages” mobile application, available on both Google Play and the App Store.

Casa Port Station is likewise situated in the very heart of the city and is particularly convenient for those staying near the old medina, the historic centre, or the coastal boulevard. However, reaching Casa Port from the airport requires a connection (typically via Casa Voyageurs), resulting in a journey longer than the direct 40-minute route.

This option combines efficiency, comfort, and affordability, making it the most practical means of transfer from the airport to the heart of the city.

Getting around Casablanca

Casablanca benefits from a well-developed public transportation network that allows for efficient movement throughout the city. Participants will find it straightforward to travel between the conference venue, their accommodation, and the city’s principal cultural and commercial areas. 

The nearest public transit stop to the Faculty is Al Inara, served by both the Tramway and the Busway, and located approximately 200 meters from the entrance of the Faculty.

Tramway

The Casablanca Tramway is one of the most convenient and reliable means of urban transit. Its lines connect the city centre, Ain Chock, university campuses, administrative districts, and major commercial zones.

Real-time schedules, route planning, and arrival updates are provided through the official mobile application Casatramway, available on Google Play and the App Store. A single journey costs approximately 8 MAD (≈ 0.75 EUR), making the tramway both economical and comfortable for daily travel to and from the Faculty.

Busway

The Busway network complements the tram lines by extending accessibility to areas not directly served by the tram system. Operating on dedicated priority corridors, it ensures fluid movement along the city’s major thoroughfares.

The Casatramway application likewise provides real-time arrival information for the Busway, allowing seamless coordination between tram and Busway routes. 

Ride-hailing services

Private transport within Casablanca is efficiently provided by dint of several widely used ride-hailing applications, all of which allow direct pick-up and drop-off at any location in the city, including the Faculty:

These services offer transparent pricing, route tracking, and flexible scheduling. Notably, Careem and Yango both allow payment by credit card directly through the application interface, while inDrive typically offer payment in cash, depending on the selected ride option.
